WSMA Festival:

March 14th

In March each band will travel by coach bus to Carroll University in Waukesha to perform in a Wisconsin School Music Association Large Group contest. Wildcat and Concert Bands will travel on March 13th and Varsity Band and Wind Ensemble will travel on March 14th. We will take coach buses to Shattuck Auditorium to perform and conclude the day with a visit to Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward and Maggiano’s as voted on by the students.

Tentative Schedule

7:30am - Attendance and Load Busses (Please eat breakfast before arriving at school.)

8:00am - Depart West High School

9:30am - Arrive at Carroll University and Unload

10:00am - Varsity Band Warms Up (Wind Ensemble watches band clinic)

11:00am - Varsity Band Performance in the Shattuck Music Center (Wind Ensemble watches performance)

11:20am - Wind Ensemble Warms Up

12:00pm - Wind Ensemble Performance in the Shattuck Music Center (Varsity Band watches performance)

1:00pm - Clinic Ends / Load Equipment

1:30pm - Depart for Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward (bring sack lunch for lunch en route)

2:00pm - Arrive at Historic Third Ward and Explore

4:30pm - Depart for Maggiano’s (Wauwautosa)

5:00pm - Group Dinner at Maggiano’s

6:30pm - Depart for West High School

8:00pm - Approximate arrival at West High School / Unload Equipment

COST

There will be a small cost of $85 that covers coach bus travel and dinner.
