Thank you for enrolling in the 2022 Orlando trip. It’s going to be so much fun!

Take a look at the following updates and reminders. Please read carefully as there is a lot of information here!

Travel Dates — March 20-26, 2022

In our original information, we shared that the trip would be over spring break with projected dates of March 27-April 2. In mid-January, the district set spring break one week earlier and we have adjusted the dates to align with the new information. Please make sure to update your calendars if you haven’t done so already.

Charms

CharmsOffice.com is where we house all of our travel information (enrollment, payments, fundraiser profits, etc.), attendance for performances, and band letter points. If you haven’t done so already, please log in to Charms and verify that all information (contact and financial) is correct. For information on accessing Charms, please refer to this page.

Charms has been updated as of this morning. This includes any transfers from the New York ledger, the Club’s Choice fundraiser, online payments, and cash/check payments.

As a reminder, individual travel financial information will not be shared over email. Please access Charms using the information above for information specific to your account.

Payments

The deposit, first payment, and insurance payment were due on February 2nd. When looking in Charms, each traveler’s total remaining amount due for the trip should be at $1350 or lower (see image below). Travelers with remaining balances higher than that amount have received an email reminder.

Each payment is the listed amount on the due date. Payments made after the due date will be charged a $20 processing fee. There are no exceptions to this, including absences.

Accrued payments and fundraising profits automatically cover the payments until that balance is under the total amount that should be turned in. You do not need to specify when you want to use the available funds.

The next payment is due on March 1, 2021. The balance due once your payment is made should be at $1200 or less.

Fundraisers

The Oshkosh West Bands began an Uncle Mike's Kringle fundraiser on February 1 and wow, are they delicious! If you've ever had kringle before, Uncle Mike's is the Ferarri of the kringle world! These really sell themselves. With one email and one Facebook post, Mr. Wilson has sold 44 kringles, which would net nearly $200 in profit!

What’s a kringle, you ask? A kringle is a Danish pastry made from “laminated” dough. Each kringle has 36 layers of dough and butter forming a buttery flaky dough. Kringles are filled with a filling of your choice and formed into the traditional pretzel shape.

Available flavors include Sea Salt Caramel, Raspberry, Turtle, Caramel Apple, Door County Cherry, Cream Cheese, Almond, Blueberry Cream Cheese, and Strawberry Cream Cheese.

Each kringle sells for $18 and traveling students are awarded $4.50 profit per kringle to their travel account. Any student can participate! Profits from non-traveling students will go toward purchasing much-needed music and instruments.

Please consider purchasing a kringle or two! You won't be disappointed! Forms are available here and in class.

Forms and payments are due no later than February 23 at the end of the school day. Late forms will not be accepted.
