FINAL Orlando Trip Update - March 17th
PAPERWORK - Yellow Packet and White Medication Sheet
The blizzard and two snow days have really set us back in our ability to collect and process traveler paperwork. Please make sure to get all paperwork to the music teachers right away before 1st hour on Wednesday morning. Please double check that the paperwork is completed correctly. We don’t have time to return it for additions or corrections.
Departure - THursday, March 19th
We finally leave for Orlando on Thursday, March 19th!
All travelers must arrive at West by 5:00am on Thursday, March 19th. Travelers may be dropped off on North Eagle Street by the band door. If you must leave your vehicle at school while we travel, please park in the auditorium lot near door #30.
Travelers should enter door #33 when they arrive. (This is the door that gets you to the hallway between the music wing and the auditorium. It’s to the right of the band door.) BAND STUDENTS: Before you enter the building, make sure that your performance items are in your hands, NOT your suitcase (LONG black socks, ALL black shoes, undershirt, hair supplies, etc.). When you arrive, we will tag your suitcase, put your performance supplies in the BRT bag, and have you bring your baggage, backpack, and jacket to the search areas. Men’s items will be searched in the orchestra room and women’s items will be searched in the choir room. While this happens, students will be in the band room.
Packing INFORMATIon
Please consult the packing list as you prepare for the trip! Here are a few important reminders:
Travelers will not have access to suitcases until Friday night (about 40 hours after we leave Oshkosh). Hotel check in is Friday night after our first theme park day.
Hygiene Supplies
Have any supplies you need to use before sleeping on the bus in your backpack on the bus. This should include a toothbrush and toothpaste and may include glasses, contact supplies, facewash, etc.
Have any supplies you need to be ready for the day in your backpack on the bus. This must include deodorant and sunscreen! Travelers will not have access to a shower before we begin the day.
Clothing
Have comfy clothes for the bus in your backpack on the bus. This should include something that you’ll be comfortable sleeping in.
Have the clothes you plan on wearing on Friday at Hollywood Studios in your backpack on the bus.
